Abstract
To instill awareness, understanding and knowledge to the public, the importance of an election in a democratic country. Socialization as public education is an effort to involve citizens in a community to create a culture of participation. Socialization is carried out with the aim of making people literate, so that they become aware, more creative and able to participate in political and development activities in a positive form. Politically educated people are citizens who are aware of their rights and obligations as citizens, so that they can autonomously (independently) participate, both directly and indirectly in all taking decision. Citizens' knowledge and understanding of certain basic political concepts becomes very important to be built, without which critical political awareness is impossible to grow. Through good and true socialization all can be done. Socialization is a process planting or transferring customs or values and rules from one generation to another in a group or community. Socialization as a theory of roles. Because in the process of socialization are taught the roles that must be carried out by individuals.
